St. Louis County Library and the St. Louis County Library Foundation are pleased to announce that Post Holdings, Inc. has entered into an agreement for naming rights to the event and outdoor spaces in the new Clark Family Branch, located at 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd. The branch, which is currently under construction, will feature an 800-seat event space and outdoor area to be named Post Plaza and Event Space. The Clark Family Branch will replace the former Headquarters building and is expected to open in spring 2024.

Post Plaza Event Space, located on the first floor of the Clark Family Branch, will be home to the Library’s popular author series, which brings over 100 bestselling authors in a variety of genres to St. Louis each year. The space can be divided into four separate rooms, and will be available for library programs, community meetings and other special events. Outside, the Post Plaza courtyard will feature lush landscaping along with seating, tables, and a nearby walking trail.

Kristen Sorth, St. Louis County Library Director & CEO said, “This generous support from Post demonstrates their support of the St. Louis County Library, its mission and the region. The new Post Plaza and Event Space will create a welcoming space for thousands of readers each year to meet their favorite authors, while the outdoor space offers people the opportunity to enjoy a quiet moment or gather with friends. We are so grateful for this incredible support.”

“The St. Louis County Library has done an incredible job of supporting our region, from promoting literacy to offering meals to those in need,” said Diedre Gray, EVP, General Counsel and CAO of Post Holdings. “Post is proud to sponsor the new library, which will benefit so many in our area.”

The Clark Family Branch is the final project of the Your Library Renewed campaign, which began in 2014. Since that time, 6 new library branches have been built, and 13 have been completely renovated or expanded. The Clark Family Branch is a stunning, two-story building, encompassing 74,000-square-feet. When finished, it will be the largest branch in the St. Louis County Library District. The branch is named after Bob Clark, Executive Chairman & Founder of Clayco, who donated $4 million to the project in 2022. The building was designed by Lamar Johnson Collaborative.
