The Friends of the Foundation are a dedicated group of supporters whose charitable gifts make possible many of the programs we have grown to love and expect from the library. Tax dollars maintain the buildings, but the Friends’ donations fund additional programs that make a measurable impact on the literacy experience in St. Louis County, such as the nationally renowned Author Series, the largest public library reading series in the country, and the Born to Read and Career Online High School programs, improving literacy at all ages.
